The candidate will be responsible for the production of detailed tender bids, cost plans, attending mid and post tender meetings and post tender control.
A mechanical estimator is required to send out enquiries to suppliers and sub-contractors. Carry out an analysis of received quotations to ensure the equipment / specialist is compliant with the tender information. Complete a tender analysis including preliminary costs. Take the master tender letter and summary and customise them to suit the requirements of the submission and more importantly incorporate any specific clarifications that are poignant.
The successful candidate must have specific knowledge and experience of working within the new build housing industry and or the wider residential market. Responsibilities for reviewing tender enquiries, estimating and preparing electrical bids in-line with strict delivery deadlines. Sending out enquiries to suppliers and sub-contractors, understanding of specifications and drawings, Must be competent with estimating software (training will be provided) and computer literate.
You will be expected to interface with both our existing and prospective new clients. This position will involve the day-to-day management of the tender process to ensure standards are maintained and deadlines are met. Whilst mechanically biased, the position also demands a wide knowledge of electrical engineering services.
Knowledge of the industry and will have experience in a wide range of sectors, including Education, Commercial, Health, Pharmaceutical and Industrial projects
